Who are we and why are we here

Curvature is a word of elegance. For the crypto native, it represents the genesis of the blockchain. Through changes in curvature, we have established a new order of permissionless asset issuance, circulation, and trading on the blockchain. It also easily evokes the allegory of the Big Bang Theory—the universe unfolding from a minuscule proton, collapsing inward before expanding outward with nearly unparalleled energy. In this process, the expanding curvature gave birth to time and space, galaxies, civilizations, and us—the thinking apes—emerging in this grand curvature extension.

To us, this mirrors the birth of blockchain and crypto. From Satoshi Nakamoto’s white paper over a decade ago to today, cryptocurrencies have gradually captured the world’s attention, forming a complex and volatile economic system.

After years in this industry, we are astonished to find that we are still young, but we could wear our novelty with pride. Some elders often reminisce about the golden rush days, the opportunities and good times. But what do people in moderately developed or developing countries face when they leave school and enter society today? High inflation, a continually squeezed job market, technological advancements hampered by the singularity, and conflicts and divisions driven by self-serving politics. Despite centuries of traditional financial development and numerous improvements in capital efficiency, we have yet to see a glimmer of hope for solving issues of equitable distribution and fair opportunities. Our years of experience in traditional finance have only made us more acutely aware of these problems.

At some point, for the younger generation, cryptocurrency seemed to offer us a ray of hope. It does not question one’s origins, allows for free, borderless transfers, offers lower capital transfer costs and faster confirmation, and provides a more primitive process of capital accumulation with a certain degree of anonymity. It embraces different cultures and classes; everyone on the trading floor reveals their vulnerability and sensitivity, greed, and desire. It serves the nobodies, telling them, “Welcome to the casino on Mars. Here, you are just a string of random numbers, and so am I.”

Rather than saying we entered crypto, it is more accurate to say that during our pursuit, crypto found us.

In this industry, we have met many capable, courageous, and bold individuals marginalized by traditional society. They are radical, intelligent, kind, and capable of doing more for society. Many have accumulated considerable wealth through diligence and boldness. Together with our friends, we decided to do something cool with our own money and talents, and this is the origin of Curvature Labs. We hope to continually extend the curvature of growth, making this Plan B financial system possible, making fair opportunities possible.

Long Live the “Casino on the Mars”.

Let’s bend the future together.
